El Buen Samaritano Project
El Buen Samaritano
Give Kids a Chance Foundation is currently supporting a project in Guatemala in the small town of
Jocotenango.
El Buen Samaritano (EBS) is a centre dedicated to helping disadvantaged
families. Inadequate housing, domestic violence, single parent homes, alcoholism, drug addicition, AIDS
and prostitution are some common parental problems.

The Centre
El Buen Samaritano (EBS) was founded in 1991 by Director Magda Torres, to provide a
refuge where the poorest children of Jocotenango could feel secure and have access to education, food and health services. Currently, the
Centre provides more than 160 children many of the necessities of life. El Buen Samaritano (EBS) also steps in to help families with medical or housing emergencies.

Achievements
All of the achievements of El Buen Samaritano (EBS) over the last fourteen years have been made possible by the tenacity of Magda
along with the hundreds of international volunteers who have helped in the Centre and most importantly through monetary donations.

Current Year
The directors of Give Kids a Chance are returning this year to EBS to volunteer once
again. We need your support to fund the ongoing operations.
